The Church of God in Cromer
Chesterfield Hall, Cabbell Road
The Church which meets at Chesterfield Hall is one of a group of evangelical, Bible based churches, established and growing in many parts of the world, all holding the same beliefs and sharing a common purpose and practices.
The Church of God in Cromer was formed in 1894 and has been active ever since. For around 50 years until its rebuilding in 2001 the church met in a much older building on the present site in Cabbell Road, Cromer.
This website will tell you all about us but there is nothing like coming to our Sunday Family Service / Children's Sunday Club to experience what excellent singing (by the congregation, not a choir) and a friendly welcome, is like.
Whether you are a visitor or a Cromer resident you will be very welcome.
Thought for the Month (month 1)
'I will feed My flock, and I will make them lie down', says the Lord God. (Ezekiel 34 v 15)
Psalm 23, which begins with the words 'The Lord is my shepherd I'll not want', is perhaps one of the best known portions of the Bible. It tells of the great care that a shepherd shows towards his sheep and the relationship that he has with them.
Part of verse 5 of that Psalm says 'You anoint my head with oil'. It was common practise for the shepherd to bathe the head of their sheep with oil to keep the many flies and insects from irritating the sheep's eyes, ears and nose. Perhaps at this moment there are things in your life which are irritating, difficulties which are making you downhearted and sad. Draw near to Jesus our heavenly Shepherd.
He loves you and cares for you. Spend some moments in prayer, share with Him your difficulties, and let Him bathe your hurts and problems with His love. Then go on your way in the knowledge that no matter how frustrating life's situations may get the Divine Shepherd is only a prayer away.
