The Family Service and Children's Sunday Club
( Sunday - 6.00 pm. )
Our evening service starts with around 15 minutes of community singing of hymns and children's choruses. In this part of the service there is usually a musical accompaniment. There is no choir, so all are encouraged to take part in this.
Before the main talk for adults, the young children go to a side room for their own Sunday Club where they will hear Bible stories and learn about God and His Son, Jesus.
The talk in the main hall is also Bible based but with more adult themes. There is a different speaker each week. After the talks and a closing hymn and prayer refreshments are available and there is the opportunity to socialise whilst waiting for children to rejoin the adults.
Three or four times a year the arrangement of the service is changed to provide a tea for all, followed again by a talk. Dates for these tea meetings will usually be announced both on this web site and on notices outside the hall or in the 'COGwheels' magazine. In these services there is no separate provision for children, all stay in the main hall.
